Kevin Durant of Oklahoma City Thunder scored 38 points in the last game against the Phoenix Suns. This marks his 41st game where he scored at least 25 points.
Third in the League’s History

The NBA superstar streak has surpassed that of Michael Jordan (40 back in the 1986-87 season). It’s now the third longest in NBA history.
“I don’t really care about it,” Durant told The Oklahoman newspaper. “I wish it was over.”
Durant is the league’s leading scorer, averaging 32.1 points per game. He has won the scoring title in four of the last five seasons.
Record Holders
The player who scored 25-plus in the most number of games is Wilt Chamberlain of Philadelphia Warriors (all 80 regular-season games of the 1961-62 season), followed by Oscar Robertson who did it in 46 games.
Durant’s 38-point performance in the last contest held Sunday at the US Airways Center arena was impressive, but was not enough to help Oklahoma City beat Phoenix.
The Suns won for the eighth time in their last 10 games.
“We had guys make plays tonight. It is as simple as that,” Suns head coach Jeff Hornacek said.
